Day 5: Costa Rica

Today we spent our last day in La Carpio, Steven, Jenny, and Tram helped to promote safe sex in the community. Good Job to Tram presenting her "Charla Ejercicio" (talked about the benefits of exercise) to the community members. Afterwards, we went to La Fundacion Humanitaria Costarricense to watch a play about Fatima's story and how she lost her husband and moved her kids to Costa Rica. Even after all her struggles and the living conditions in La Carpio, her family never gave up and are very thankful for the work we do. The quilt is woven by Fatima and some of the other women of the center and represents their story. We are very thankful to have this opportunity.
